Are You In Success Mode?

Success ModeHow do you know if you are in success mode?  It’s a good question.  Most of us know what success mode isn’t.  Things may be going well but we don’t feel it or think it.  Too often, we can feel stuck or overwhelmed and not understand what is creating it.

In coaching success, success mode is when you feel energy and enthusiasm most of the time.  You look forward to your days.  You have purpose.  You have desire.  You can look back on your days and feel a sense of accomplishment.

What can you do when these de-energizing feelings or thoughts come about that are taking you out of success mode?

Success Mode:  Action Cures Fear

The first thing to remember is that action cures fear.  Usually we feel stuck or overwhelmed when we aren’t taking the necessary actions to move forward.

You may be experiencing small business growth or small business success.  Things in your personal life can be going well.  Yet, things don’t feel right.

Very often the lack of action is what keeps us from being in success mode.  And when there is a lack of action, proactive action, we can feel like we are spinning our wheels.  When your days run together or you feel that tomorrow will be the same as today which was the same as yesterday that you start feeling less enthusiasm and de-energized.

Success Mode: Action=Energy + Enthusiasm

The first step to getting your energy and enthusiasm back is to truly understand what you fear.  Very often a change in our thinking either about ourselves or our situation can put us back in success mode.  If we don’t understand what we fear or what is holding us back it is hard to take action to move us forward.

In personal business coaching the first step to get into success mode is to understand what is holding you. The second step is to determine a course of action.  The third step is to follow the course of action you have set out.

Success Mode:  It’s About Progress

It sounds easy enough.  Yet, it can be difficult.  Success mode is about progress.  You must think progress to get into success mode.  If you are coming from a scarcity mentality you start hoarding things or protecting your position.

You can’t be proactive and moving into success mode when you are thinking scarcity.  Scarcity is about being in a protection mode.  When we are in a protection mode it is hard to have any significant forward movement.

Whether you are an entrepreneur, solo professional or a self-employed business owner you must think abundance.  You must see that there can be more to your business and life.  If you don’t see a future with greater abundance, whether it be in your business or life, then it will be hard to attain the success you seek.

Success mode is about getting a clear picture of the future you desire.  And, once the future is finished in your mind, then what you need to do in the present becomes absolutely clear.

And, here’s the good news.  The present becomes exciting.  Why?  The present now has a definite purpose.  It has meaning. It is helping you to create the future you desire.

Whether you are running a small business or starting your own business or are an individual working for a company get a clear picture of the future you desire.  Start taking the action to get there.  When you do, it will make each day more exciting and start giving you momentum to become the person you need to be to take you to the future you want.

Understand what you fear.  Come up with a plan of action.  Execute the plan.  Understand how the plan will help you get to the future you desire.  When you do you are building momentum and putting yourself in success mode to have the business and life you desire.
